Business Analyst
Turn European data into sharper decisions, smarter operations, and scalable growth as sunday’s Strategy Analyst in Paris — working closely with leaders across France and the UK.
👋 About Us
sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US.
About the Role
As a Strategy Analyst assisting our European GM, you will be at the core of how sunday runs, measures, and improves its operations. This is an international role — you will work across the European markets (France and UK), with exposure to global Senior Leadership as sunday scales.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Customer Experience, Data and RevOps to build the analytical foundation that drives better decisions across the company.
This is not a reporting role. You will own end-to-end analyses, surface insights that challenge assumptions and guide decisions, and help build the operational infrastructure that allows sunday to scale efficiently.
You will be based in Paris with 3 days/week in office minimum.
Join early, grow fast, and shape the journey!
Key Responsibilities
Own operational reporting and performance tracking — build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports that give leadership and teams a clear, real-time view of business health.
Translate data into actionable recommendations — identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities across operations; bring sharp, structured insights to the table (not just numbers).
Support strategic and operational decisions — run structured analyses for key business questions: unit economics, operational efficiency, country performance, tooling ROI, and more.
Improve processes and reduce manual work — identify recurring pain points in how data is collected, transformed, or reported; collaborate with RevOps and Tech to automate what can be automated.
Work cross-functionally — be the analytical partner for key EU leaders and teams: Ops, CX, Finance, and Data teams; help them structure their questions, get the data they need, and move faster.
Contribute to planning and forecasting — support monthly and quarterly business reviews with clean, well-structured analysis.
Identify AI-native processes we should implement and build them.
Work hand-in-hand with our team in charge of improving Product Market Fit - You’ll be at the forefront of operational and product innovation at sunday.
About You
2-4 years of experience in a structured, fast-paced environment — consulting, investment banking, finance, operations or applied data at a scale-up, entrepreneurship experience, or similar.
You are impact driven, you want to solve actual and real world problems through data - You are eager to make our data work for our customers and our business goals.
You are proactive and won't wait to be told what to analyse — you see the problems and bring the analysis.
You are highly rigorous and love spending time on data, spreadsheets, and dashboards to find the signal in the noise - You look for the intel behind the figures.
You think structurally — you break down complex problems into clear frameworks before diving into the data.
You are comfortable going from raw data to executive-ready output, and you know how to tell a story with numbers. You display a really high level of drive and autonomy.
Proficient in SQL and data-visualisation tools and comfortable with Google Sheets / Excel at an advanced level.
Comfortable with AI coding tools (like Cursor) and/or agents platform (like Dust), you build solutions end-to-end, autonomously, from idea to shipped product.
Excellent communication in English and French.
