Strategy & Operations Manager - France
Shape sunday’s French operations: turn data into decisions, align teams around priorities, and lead strategic projects that drive measurable growth across territories.
👋 About Us
sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US.
About the Role
We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager - France to work directly with our Head of Operations & Territory Performance and help drive the performance of sunday’s French business.
This is a highly transversal role at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics and execution. You will help create the operating rhythm that enables the France team to make better decisions, execute priorities consistently and improve performance across territories.
You will act as a force multiplier for the Head of Operations: bringing structure to complex topics, ensuring the right information reaches the right people and helping strategic initiatives move from discussion to measurable impact.
The role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills, excellent communication and a hands-on approach to execution.
Join early, grow fast, and shape the journey!
Key Responsibilities
Run the France operating rhythm
Prepare, structure and facilitate the main France team rituals, including the France Weekly, Account Management Weekly and project-specific reviews.
Produce concise meeting materials, decision documents and project updates.
Own project follow-through, ensuring initiatives progress as planned and task owners remain accountable for delivery.
Continuously improve the format and effectiveness of France’s management rituals.
Build the performance management infrastructure
Ensure France territorial teams have access to the right data, dashboards and tools to monitor operational and commercial performance.
Work closely with Data and RevOps to define performance metrics, improve reporting and address data-quality issues.
Build and maintain dashboards and performance views adapted to the needs of regional and functional leaders.
Create a single, reliable view of France performance across territories, teams and product lines.
Help standardise KPI definitions and performance reporting across the French organisation.
Identify gaps in existing tools and coordinate the development of more scalable solutions.
Analyse and drive the improvement of France’s operational performance
Monitor France performance across the main business KPIs, including onboarding, product adoption, upsell, churn, retention and net revenue.
Analyse performance by territory, customer segment, product and Account Manager.
Identify trends, performance gaps, operational bottlenecks and growth opportunities.
Go beyond reporting by developing hypotheses, identifying root causes and recommending concrete actions.
Prepare regular performance summaries for the Head of Operations and France leadership.
Support forecasting, target setting and business planning exercises.
Conduct deep dives on strategic topics when performance deviates from plan.
Drive strategic and cross-functional projects
Lead or coordinate priority projects on behalf of the Head of Operations such as French OKRs, coordinating with the CEO office.
Translate strategic priorities into clear workstreams, milestones, owners and expected outcomes.
Coordinate stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Product, Marketing, RevOps, Finance and Data.
Identify execution risks early and help teams remove blockers.
Ensure strategic initiatives are properly documented, measured and reviewed.
Take ownership of selected projects from initial problem framing through implementation and impact assessment.
About You
1–3 years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, finance, analytics, scale-up operations or a similar environment.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear business recommendations.
Excellent project-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
Strong do-er mentality: highly hands-on, resourceful, and willing to take ownership from problem definition through execution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create clear, concise and decision-oriented documents and presentations.
Comfortable working with senior leaders while remaining close to day-to-day execution.
Highly structured, organised and reliable.
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Proactive and resourceful, with a strong sense of ownership.
Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment.
Able to challenge constructively and form an independent point of view.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across teams.
Professional working proficiency in both French and English.
