Sales Development Representative - Atlanta
Join sunday as an SDR in Atlanta: own outbound, book 30+ meetings/mo, win over restaurants, and help payments flow faster - impactful work with a fast-growing team.
👋 About Us
sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US.
About the Role
As an SDR at sunday, you'll be the engine driving our growth in the Atlanta market. You'll work side by side with experienced Account Executives, generating the qualified pipeline they need to close, while playing a foundational role in our US sales expansion.
You'll report to the SDR Manager, and be part of a high-energy team obsessed with impact, creativity, and results. This is a ground floor opportunity at a company where the product genuinely solves a real problem for restaurant operators and where your work will be visible from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Own your outbound motion end-to-end: identify, prioritize, and reach out to high-potential restaurant operators in the Atlanta market through cold calls, personalized email, LinkedIn, and in-person prospecting.
Generate qualified pipeline consistently for AEs, working toward 30+ meetings booked per month at a ~10% connect rate by month four.
Qualify inbound leads quickly and accurately, ensuring AEs receive fully briefed, well-framed opportunities that are ready to convert.
Master sunday's value proposition and tailor it to the specific realities of restaurant operators and franchises, whether on a cold call, in a follow-up email, or face to face.
Handle live objections with confidence and structure: turn "we're too busy" or "we already have something" into booked meetings.
Stay organized and disciplined in Salesforce: log every activity, manage your sequences, and keep your pipeline accurate and up to date.
Show up in the field: visit restaurants in person at least once per week to build real relationships and deepen your market knowledge.
About You
Must-haves:
You're coachable - you actively seek feedback, adapt fast, and have a genuinely low-ego approach to growth.
You have grit - you power through rejection and stay motivated through the highs and lows of a fast-moving sales environment.
You're creative - you find original ways to break through the noise, whether with a clever email hook, an unexpected cold call opener, or a resourceful approach to getting a response.
You have a competitive drive - you keep score, you care about your numbers, and you want to be at the top of the leaderboard.
You're people-smart - you read the room, communicate with empathy, and build trust quickly, whether with a stranger on a cold call or a colleague in the office.
You're based in Atlanta, and comfortable being in the field/in the office 3x a week.
Nice-to-haves:
Familiarity with the restaurant or hospitality industry - you understand the operational world of restaurant operators and know how to speak their language.
Experience with CRM tools (ideally Salesforce)- you log consistently, manage sequences, and use the tool to stay ahead.
Some fluency with payment concepts (PSP, POS, MDR) - you can explain how payment systems work to a non-technical audience without losing them.
